Dr Imran Bin Mohamed Noor is a consultant in respiratory and critical care medicine at Changi General Hospital, Singapore. He undertook a year of fellowship training at Sir Charles Gairdner Hospital in 2010 sponsored by the Singaporean Ministry of Health. He spent six months at the Pleural Diseases Unit to subspecialize in the management of pleural diseases and learned interventional skills including pleuroscopy and use of indwelling pleural catheters. On return to Singapore, he has started a pleuroscopy service in his hospital and is planning to establish a pleural diseases unit in the near future.
